How did you get here?
First, there was a vehicle. (No not the chevy your parents screwed in when you were consummated.) I’m talking about the vehicle of your mother's womb. Yet, she did not make you, she gave you the vehicle for you to make yourself. A space for you to work in.
When you think about it, we started with very little. Piece by piece. Bit by bit. We worked on ourselves for 9 months, in our mother's fragile womb, maintaining our little selves until we grew too large to stay there. We pushed our way out and began the job of working growing even more. For in this life you are either growing or dying, and you chose to grow. If you are reading this, you know you did not abandon the job, not even for a day. You worked hard to get here, and now you’re here and you made it! You are a success!! It was a phenomenal achievement. Enjoy knowing this.
You might say you didn’t have a choice, but you DID have a choice. You could have interfered or fucked it up. You may have even tried to fuck it up a few times, but alas, you made it none the less. You made it to this life. This unique and special life.
And here you are. Priceless.
Remember: no one has ever done you. You are unique in all of history.
In all of time.
“In the art world when there is a unique piece of art it is considered to be one of a kind. Well, you’re it.” – Fredrick Lehrman
Think about it: you are a priceless natural treasure.
And when you ask yourself today, “well, what am I doing here? what is my purpose?”
I will tell you that your purpose is that you are being you. If I wanted to know what it’s like to be someone like you I can look at you and there you are being the art exhibit of your own possibility.
So what we are teaching each other, and what are purpose is, is this:
We are teaching each other what it is like to be our own possibilities. If I want to learn what it is like to be your possibility I can hang out with you, a priceless treasure and become awed by your existence in front of me.
What a treat. Look around and enjoy the work you’ve done on
yourself, and congratulate others for a job well done.
And have a FAN-tastic weekend.
And here’s the bonus prize:
To further celebrate ourselves here is an amazing poem by a priceless writer, teacher, and friend, Karak:
